Chinese authorities are increasing military spending by 6.6%, even as the economy and other sectors are struggling to get on track amid the coronavirus. The move demonstrates the regime’s priorities, and comes alongside its new form of aggressive and often hostile “Wolf Warrior diplomacy.”
