Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl Delivers BBQ to Firefighters in Southern California

Foo Fighters singer and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl visited five Los Angeles-area fire stations with food, CBS reported.

The Woolsey and Hill fires have destroyed thousands of acres and dozens of buildings in Southern California since they erupted a week ago.

“It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters,” wrote the Los Angeles County Fire Station 68 via Instagram. “He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq . Thanks Dave! It was excellent!” The station serves the cities of Calabasas and Hidden Hills.

“How cool is this?” another Instagram post read. “Dave Grohl and his family brought home cooked BBQ to babes station last night.”

It comes after celebrity chef Guy Fieri visited firefighters and first responders in Northern California, where the much more devastating Camp Fire is raging.

“Guy Fieri made a surprise visit to serve dinner to everyone at the law enforcement staging area at Butte College. Thank you so much Guy for filling our bellies and lifting our spirits,” the Butte County Sheriff’s Office tweeted on Nov. 11.

The Auburn Police department also posted a photo of the chef. “Guy is cooking pulled pork dinner for everyone this evening,” the department said. “He had also thanked everyone that is helping out for their hard work! Thank you Guy for your time, support and great food!”

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga, the singer, visited a wildfire shelter.

“I’m on my way now to a shelter in California to be with people who have evacuated their homes. It’s one of my acts of kindness for today and I encourage you to do the same,” she said, according to ETOnline on Nov. 13.

The singer posted a photo of herself carrying 11 boxes of pizza. “Fresh hot pizza, coffee, and gift cards for the shelter,” she said in a video.

The 32-year-old also stated: “Thank you to the Red Cross for all you are doing to provide shelter, love, and mental health support to the people of California.”

“I’m so grateful. I love you and God bless you to all the firefighters and first responders who continue fighting this fire,” the singer also wrote on Twitter. “You risk your lives for us, and I’m so humbled by your bravery. You are our heroes.”
