A fourth hearing has been held regarding mysterious Chinese heiress Yang Lanlan and her car accident that left the chauffeur of major radio host Kyle Sandilands heavily injured.
Yang was not present again while her lawyers pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The fourth hearing was heard at Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney on Nov. 14 and lasted less than five minutes.
Her lawyer Michael Korn entered not guilty pleas on her behalf.
The case centres around the car accident in Rose Bay, an upscale suburb of Sydney’s eastern area, on July 26.
Yang is accused of driving under the influence when she crashed her $1.5 million Rolls-Royce Cullinan into a Mercedes-Benz van.
George Plassaras, the 52-year-old chauffeur for Sydney radio host Sandilands sustained severe injuries, including fractures to his spine, ribs, hip, and femur.
KIIS 106.5 host Sandilands said he was distraught to see the condition of his driver when the incident happened in July.
“I was nearly crying,” he said during the Kyle and Jackie O show.
Yang was unharmed and later granted bail.
The 23-year-old is currently facing multiple charges including: refusing or failing to submit to a breath test; dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm; negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm; and failing to provide particulars to police.
“She’s been excused from appearing today,” Korn told reporters, saying Yang was not given any special treatment.
“Obviously, the matter’s quite tough, and it’s drawn a lot of attention, but we’re getting through it … I can’t talk too much about the case yet at this stage,” said Michael, who is also the son of John Korn, who represented Yang in previous hearings.
The lawyer will receive the police’s brief of evidence on Dec. 12, which typically includes written witness statements, police reports, and other evidence the prosecution intends to submit to the court.
Korn told reporters they will review the material once it is provided and then “take the matter from there.”
The next hearing is scheduled for Jan. 30, 2026.
Why the Fuss Around Yang?
The seemingly wealthy Chinese girl has raised eyebrows with her lavish lifestyle—including luxury-branded clothes, Rolls-Royce, and an ocean-view penthouse in Sydney—despite a lack of information on her online.
The rumour mill has gone into overdrive, with some directly connecting Yang to CCP leadership
Sheng Xue, a Canada-based journalist and pro-democracy activist, claims Yang was seen visiting Qi Xin—the mother of CCP leader Xi Jinping—during a trip to China.
In her interview with Vision Times, Xue, who said she had reliable sources, claimed that Yang is “most likely Xi Jinping’s illegitimate daughter.”
The Epoch Times could not independently verify this statement.
Questions Over Yang’s Whereabouts
According to earlier reports from Daily Mail, during the last hearing on Oct. 17, Yang’s luxury seafront apartment, where she previously resided, had been emptied.
Her other car, a white Rolls-Royce convertible worth A$800,000, was also gone, spurring questions over whether she had left the country.
Under Yang’s current bail conditions, she is required to surrender her passport and report to the police once a week.
The Epoch Times reached out to New South Wales Police asking whether Yang had been complying with these requirements.
The police responded that they cannot comment on a person’s bail conditions.
