Tiffany Pollard’s management has removed “David is Dead” t-shirts from her website after the passing of David Gest on April 12.
Pollard, who was roommates with David Gest in the “Big Brother U.K” house, was left distraught after Angie Bowie revealed that a David had died of cancer. But Angie was referring to her ex-husband, iconic musician David Bowie.
Pollard mistook the David that Angie spoke of for their roommate and was startled to learn that Gest was asleep in bed.
The flub brought viral fame, in which Pollard capitalized on the moment by releasing t-shirts emblazoned with pink words “David is Dead.”
However, after the unexpected death of Gest on April 12, Pollard’s management pulled the shirts from her site. Her management released a statement via Twitter on her behalf, noting that Pollard is unaware of Gest’s passing.
