TAICHUNG, Taiwan—Stars Know My Heart was once a widely known prime-time TV series in Taiwan. Due to its touching stories depicting affection and motherly love in a family struck with adversity, it is still regarded as a classic. The director of the popular TV series, Lin Fudi, attended Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company’s 2013 first artistic feast in Taichung on the evening of March 7, performing at the Chung Shan Hall. After seeing the performance, Mr. Lin praised Shen Yun as being “world class.”

Lin Fudi said without hesitation: “The show itself is a world class performance. The dances contain elements of drama; the plots are very well written; the dancing and choreography are extremely wonderful, and all of the costumes are really splendid. Seeing the performance can enhance one’s cultural level, so more people in Taiwan should be encouraged to see the show.”

“It is because of the high level performance that [Shen Yun] is able to tour the world over. The show was indeed very good, including the overall presentation on the stage, dancing and choreography. We could tell from the audience’s enthusiastic applause,” he explained.

Hoping to see more Shen Yun performances so as to uplift his aesthetic level, Lin Fudi noted: “If I have the opportunity, I certainly would like to see it again, as this kind of performance has much to do with direction. The more we see it, the more knowledge we gain. This kind of knowledge is something that can upgrade our level of aesthetics.”

In addition to Stars Know My Heart, many of the TV series directed by Lin Fudi were popular prime-time TV programs in Taiwan some 20 years ago. In particular, the touching stories depicting the spirit of striving for the best regardless of adversity.
