NEW YORK—Although many New Yorkers have been displaced since Hurricane Sandy hit, residents can still only vote at their designated polling place on Tuesday.
To find out if your polling site has moved, search for the your address on the Online Poll Site Address Locator on the Board of Elections (BOE) website.
Voters can also email the BOE at vote@boe.nyc.ny.us, with your complete address in the body text and borough in the subject line. The BOE will email your polling place back to you.
Voters can also call 1.886.VOTE.NYC for more information, and text “NYCVOTES” to 877-877 for the same information. Spanish speakers can text “DONDE” to 877-877 to receive location updates in Spanish.
Monday is the deadline to pick up absentee ballots at the borough office. If voters cannot make it to the borough office, they can designate a person to pick up their absentee ballot for them. All absentee ballots must be postmarked Monday, or hand delivered to the Board of Elections by close of polls on Tuesday. Polling places will open from 6:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m on election day.
All BOE borough offices are open except the Manhattan office, which does not have power. The Manhattan office is temporarily located to 450 West 33rd Street, on the 10th floor.
