Natalie Portman could appear in the upcoming Superman reboot Man of Steel as Lois Lane, according to multiple reports from sources in Hollywood.

The movie, set to be produced by Christopher Nolan, could also be directed by Darren Aronofsky, who recently worked with Portman in the highly-acclaimed Black Swan.

A source told Moviehole that the Aronofsky talks have not "progressed beyond the suggestion of having Nat[alie Portman] be Lois. They wanted her first time around, this time they can get her – with Darren. But who knows where that's at now."

Aronofsky, the man behind Pi and The Wrestler, was attached to other superhero movies like a Batman prequel and a RoboCop movie. None of that, however, has come to fruition.
