A successful Restaurant Week has come to an end.
NYC’s Summer 2012 session was not just a savvy business venture, but a show of appreciation to diners everywhere, giving many the opportunity to experience fine dining at affordable prices.
For those who missed it, there’s no need to wait for the next Restaurant Week, as event coordinators have extended the prix fixe deals until Labor Day, Sept. 3, in a new dining event called NYC GO Prix Fixe.
George Fertitta, CEO of NYC & Company, said, “NYC Go Prix Fixe gives diners additional opportunities to enjoy three-course meals at many of the City’s finest restaurants for a fraction of the usual cost.
“New York City’s more than 25,000 dining institutions are one of the reasons 50.9 million visitors from around the world traveled to the five boroughs last year, and we encourage New Yorkers and visitors to take advantage of this dining deal and explore a new restaurant at a discounted price,” Fertitta added.
Similar to Restaurant Week, there are some great spots participating, including La Fonda Del Sol, Brasserie 8 1/2, Nobu, Tribeca Grill, Barbounia, Café Boulud, David Burke Townhouse, Yerba Buena, among others.
As with Restaurant Week, prices will remain $24.07 for three-course prix-fixe lunches and $35.00 for three-course prix-fixe dinners (Saturdays excluded, Sundays optional; beverages, gratuities, and taxes are not included).
