Olly The Cat is Back on UK Supermarket Shelves

The supermarket cat Olly has returned to lurk the aisles after being removed a few months ago due to being a “health and safety risk,” according to the Telegraph.

First spotted last November at a Sainsbury’s store in Brockley, a district in South London, Olly has become a “Top Internet Cat” with a growing fan base.

As a frequent visitor, Olly has been removed a few times in the past from the store.

But this time, he’s come back to show who’s boss.

Alice Sanders, a local resident pointed out that Olly has been mourning for a past feline friend named Softface, who had moved away with his owner a few weeks before. 

“Perhaps his life is meaningless without his arch nemesis, or perhaps they loved each other dearly and he misses their fierce role playing games,” she said, according to The Huffington Post. “Clearly Mr. Tinkles (Olly) is staging a protest against Softface’s absence in Sainsbury’s. He’s in the bargaining stage of grief.”
