Former President Richard Nixon, Wife Apparently Saw a Trump Presidency

Former President Richard Nixon apparently sent a letter to Donald Trump back in the 1980s, making an accurate prediction.

In 1987, Nixon wrote to President-elect Trump after the businessman made an appearance on “Donahue.” He said his wife, Pat Nixon, enjoyed seeing him on the popular talk show.

“I did not see the program, but Mrs. Nixon told me you were great. As you can imagine, she is an expert on politics and she predicts that whenever you decide to run for office you will be a winner!” Nixon’s short letter read.

The letter surfaced in a biography about Trump published in 2015.

Nixon, who resigned in 1974 after he faced articles of impeachment from Congress, wrote “Dear Donald” at the top of the letter and signed it.

While he was on “Donahue,” Trump said, “Well, I’m a Republican and the Reagan administration was doing a great job for the psyche of this country after we went through the catastrophe previous to that, but the last couple years have been really bad for the Reagan administration, unfortunately.”

Nixon died in 1994, about a year after his wife passed away. It’s unclear if Trump ever met with Nixon personally.
