The boutique festival of the year: Castlepalooza unveils amazing line-up

Ireland’s best-value festival of the summer, Castlepalooza Music and Arts Festival, will take place at Charleville Castle, Tullamore, Co Offaly this coming August Bank Holiday weekend (August 3rd-5th). British rock icons The Charlatans will headline this year’s festival.

Playing alongside The Charlatans is Castlepalooza’s trademark mix of hip acts, including Ghostpoet, King Charles, Jape, Donal Dineen’s Parish Project, Solar Bears, Jon Phonics, MMOTHS, Little Green Cars, and many others. Also joining the line-up are electronic group Plaid, returning Irish heroes HAL, Illum Sphere, SertOne and a host of other new Irish talent including:

• Owensie
• Frankie Grimes

In addition to the music, ticket holders will have exclusive daily access inside Charleville Castle, where there will be art and film exhibitions, as well as workshops including Hip Hop and Hula Hoop. There will also be an art contest at Dr Sketchy’s Life Drawing Classes, and a Day Spa for some pampering. 

Tickets for Castlepalooza are on sale at www.castlepalooza.com or from usual ticket outlets:

• Three Days including Castle camping – 85 euro
• Three Days no camping – 65 euro
• Sunday only no camping – 35 euro (prices not including booking fees)

A portion of each ticket will go towards the Charleville Castle restoration project, an ongoing effort supported by Castlepalooza to maintain one of Ireland’s most historic landmarks.
