Video: Woman Notices Strange Things for Months, Turns out to Be a Burglar

A woman in Texas noticed some odd things going on in her daughter’s room for several months, and she suspected she was being burglarized.

According to a report from KDFW, the woman–who called herself Alice–noticed things disappearing from the room, including money from her 5-year-old daughter’s piggy bank.

“The only thing I could think of was someone was coming with a key and entering into my home and taking things,” Alice said.

Alice believed she was getting robbed, but she didn’t have proof.

“I didn’t have any proof of anything; I just know what I have,” she said.

So she bought a camera and “moved it across my room right there by the fan,” she said. On camera, she saw an intruder–a man–taking money from the bank.

“I don’t necessarily feel like that was a crime of opportunity,” Alice said. “I feel like it was premeditated.”

Alice added she’s glad he only took money.

“I’m more so glad that I’m able to stand here with you now and discuss it,” she said. “I’m happy that I even had the camera, had it on. I’m happy for a lot of things. I’m happy that I was able to see him.”
