KITCHENER-WATERLOO, Canada—Carol Zettel is the third generation president of her family-owned business Trillium Metal Stamping, a fabrication business that grew from a tool and die business to a dynamic steel fabrication business with fully automated lines and the capability of robotic parts transfer, according to the company website.

Thursday night was a night to relax however, and Ms. Zettel enjoyed it with her mother, Margaret Zettel by taking in Shen Yun Performing Arts at Centre in the Square theatre.

“I’ve never see this kind of Chinese dance before and it’s beautiful. The costumes are beautiful, and the young dancers are awesome, and very elegant, very nice,” said the younger Ms. Zettel.

“It’s great, everything is just so perfect,” shared her mother.

Ms. Zettel said the elegance of Chinese dance impressed her and left her feeling peaceful.

“It’s just an enjoyable night,” she said.

Shen Yun performs classical Chinese dance, an art form thousands of years old, passed down dynasty after dynasty, mainly among the people, in imperial courts and through Chinese theatre.

Based in New York, Shen Yun was founded on a mission to revive 5,000 years of divinely inspired Chinese culture, which has been lost in today’s communist China. The junior Ms. Zettel said Shen Yun left her with a new perspective on the art of China and a better understanding of its cultural background.

“And the stories are interesting too,” she said.
