Wall Street’s main indexes were subdued at the open on Friday as an in-line inflation print, signaling continued moderation in price pressures, helped offset an earnings gloom after a dour revenue forecast from Intel.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 42.45 points, or 0.11 percent, at the open to 38,006.68. The S&P 500 opened lower by 5.25 points, or 0.11 percent, at 4,888.91, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 35.64 points, or 0.23 percent, to 15,474.85 at the opening bell.
