Six luxury watches belonging to “John Wick” star Keanu Reeves were handed over to the FBI months after being recovered in Chile.

Chilean authorities announced on July 29 that the valuables are now in FBI possession, several months after being recovered in Santiago.

The watches, valued at a total of $125,000, were stolen from Reeves’ Hollywood Hills home in December 2023, including an engraved $9,500 Rolex Submariner.

Reeves himself identified the stolen items, according to Chilean prosecutors, specifically with the Rolex having written inside the actor’s name along with “2021, JW4, thank you, The John Wick Five.”

In the action-thriller franchise, Keanu portrays the leading role as “John Wick,” a legendary hitman who comes out of retirement seeking vengeance. He reprised the role for four more films, with chapter five of the series currently in development.

The engraving refers to the Rolex Submariners Reeves gifted in 2021 to four stuntmen that he worked alongside on “John Wick: Chapter 4.”

The FBI plans to return the watches to Reeves at an unspecified time.

Reeves’ home has been burglarized at least three times, and in 2014 was the target of two home invasions within a three-day period.

Since the robbery, Chilean police have worked with U.S. authorities and conducted numerous raids on homes, where they discovered stolen vehicles, iPhones, and designer watches and purses.

The police operation was in response to a continued crackdown on transnational crime, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is currently in the South American nation in part to address the issue.

In April, a suspect was arrested in connection with the theft of Noem’s designer purse on Easter Sunday while she was dining at a popular Washington, D.C. restaurant.

Officials named Mario Bustamante Leiva, 49, as the suspect, and say he is a Chilean national who was residing in the U.S. illegally.

Over the last year, the FBI has continued to coordinate with Chilean investigations into a string of burglaries by South America-based crime groups.

In February, seven Chilean nationals were arrested in connection with a spree of burglaries targeting professional athletes in the United States.

At the time, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Middle District of Florida announced that the members of the theft group targeted NFL and NBA players, including Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Over $2 million worth of valuables were stolen in a series of break-ins beginning in October 2024 that would often occur while the athletes were “away or playing in professional games.”

Marcelo Varas, an officer with Chile’s robbery investigation squad, said authorities are still working on determining whether these high-profile break-ins are directly connected with Reeves’ stolen property.
