Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sánchez are officially married.
The couple exchanged vows on June 27, during a black-tie ceremony at Teatro Verde, in front of approximately 200 family and friends in Venice, Italy.
Their Italian nuptial location was an outdoor performing arts theater set in the gardens of the island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
Sánchez, 55, walked down the aisle wearing a lace long-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana gown, while Bezos, 61, donned a classic black tuxedo from the designer.
In an interview with Vogue during her final wedding dress fitting, Sánchez said her look was inspired by a 1950s high-necked lace wedding dress pictured on Italian actress Sophia Loren.
“It was more powerful than I thought,” she recalled of her fitting, noting Bezos even begged to see her dress.
“I almost gave in! But I want it to be a surprise. As you get a little older, not many things surprise you. I can’t wait to see his face.”
Matteo Bocelli, son of the Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, performed at the ceremony with a rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.
Sánchez quickly took to social media to post a smiling newlywed photo of the couple, surrounded by loved ones.
The reception for the bride and groom will be on June 28 in the Venetian Arsenale, a sprawling complex of former shipyards and armories dating back to the 12th century.
The couple requested no gifts and, according to CNN, instead have pledged more than $3 million in charity donations to UNESCO’s Venice office, the Consortium for the Coordination of Research Activities concerning the Venice Lagoon System, and Venice International University.

Celebrations officially kicked off on June 26, with a pre-nuptial welcome party at the Madonna dell’Orto church in the historic city.
The church dates back to the 14th century and was the home parish of Italian Renaissance painter Jacopo Robusti, best known as Tintoretto, and his family.
Celebrities, musicians, athletes, television personalities, business tycoons, and royalty from all over are in attendance for the three-day lavish affair.
The guest list includes Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, Tom Brady, Orlando Bloom, the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, and more.

The fuss over their arrival drew concerns from some locals and activist groups, who are protesting the lack of privatization in Venice and government officials seemingly prioritizing tourism over the city’s residents.
The demonstrations drew a response from Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro.
“We will always respect the right to speak out, but we reject every form of intolerance and prejudice,” he said.
“No one in Venice can claim the right of deciding who can enter, who can love, who can celebrate.”
Regional governor Luca Zaia touted the wedding as an economic and reputational boon for Venice, with a hefty price tag of nearly $50 million for the entire extravaganza.
This is the second marriage for each of the couple who got engaged back in May 2023.
