A powerful nor’easter is sweeping across the Northeast. It’s bringing heavy snow, strong winds, and hazardous travel conditions to the region. Blizzard warnings are in effect for major cities including New York, Philadelphia, and Boston, with more than 40 million people in the storm’s path.

Governors in seven states have declared emergencies and urged residents to stay home as snow accumulates quickly and visibility drops.
