A high level security official in China was dismissed from his position and is being probed for “serious violations of discipline and law.” The individual is Sun Lijun, who was the director of the first bureau of the Ministry of Public Security’s 26th Bureau, and was deputy director of the 610 Office—comparable to the “Chinese Gestapo.”

Inside sources told The Epoch Times that actions against Sun Lijun are not about the virus or about Hong Kong, where Sun Lijun was in charge of security during the recent protests. Instead, they claim his arrest ties to rumors of coups in China. His removal and corruption probe are being interpreted as signs of high-level infighting within the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

And nations are joining to call out a new push from the CCP to capitalize on the pandemic to wage economic warfare. These concerns have now been echoed by NATO, the United States, the UK, India, and others.
