On March 15 Sky TV news correspondent Mark Stone was detained on Beijing’s Tiananmen Square while broadcasting live. Stone believes the Chinese police reacted to his mentioning the Tiananmen Square massacre and did not realize that the camera was still rolling.
Stone described his detention as a “classic example of the way things seem to work in China.”
