After a string of pretty terrible games, (bar NFS: Shift) the guys at EA decided it was time to try and re-inspire the audience who had all but disappeared. To do so, they entrusted Criterion, the geniuses behind the Burnout series. The result is an absolutely stellar racing game, providing breathtaking visuals, excellent damage modeling, and some of the world’s most expensive cars. There is a diverse single player component based around Autolog, a system that pits you against your friends by tracking your times in events. Autolog is a great feature, which encourages you to replay events to beat your mates. As well as this, there is a fantastically enjoyable multiplayer experience. All these elements come together seamlessly to make Hot Pursuit an absolutely top notch racing game, which re-ignites the NFS brand in style.
