Photographer Matt Irwin has passed away at the age of 36.
Photographer to the stars, Irwin has worked closely with A-list celebrities of the music and entertainment industry. He’s worked with Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj, and was the main photographer of the U.K. based band, One Direction.
The cause of death is unknown. Members of One Direction have yet to comment on the death of their friend.
Irwin’s love for picture snapping began at age 15 when he was given a camera from a friend. The rest is history. Much of his work can be found on his Instagram page.
Fans of the photographer paid tribute to him on Friday, May 6—the day of his death.
