It is genuinely entertaining to live a life through the eyes of a Sim, but it is a formula that has become too familiar over the years, and Sims 3 does very little to reinvent itself enough to feel fresh.
That said, this is a strong port from PC, with the control scheme working really well on consoles. Sadly, the game flops on the technical side of things, with load times being painfully long and the game suffering from unexplainable slowdown problems.
All in all, this is a game that is likely to be appealing to die-hard Sims fans, who have been eager to get their hands on a console port. Others will most probably have problems with the uninspiring nature of the gameplay, which is further let down by the glitches and hitches along the way.
