This was not how the Tennessee Titans envisioned movie night going.
On Saturday, the NFL team treated fans to a showing of “Minions” on the videoboards at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Unfortunately, the sprinklers came on during the movie, soaking a portion of the crowd on the field. Fans took to posting the wet experience.

The Titans apologized to the drenched fans Sunday in a statement to The Tennessean:

“Some sprinklers went off for about 30-45 seconds in one quadrant of the field, which was unfortunate and unexpected since we had changed the timers for the sprinklers. We had a good turnout of our season ticket members and their families and realize it didn’t make for a great night for those who got wet, and for that we apologize.”

Recently, the Titans made headlines for trading the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, which starts on April 28. The team dealt the first overall pick—as well as a fourth-rounder and a sixth-rounder—to the Los Angeles Rams, for the Rams’ first-round selection (15th overall), a pair of second-rounders, a third-rounder, and then a first- and a third-round pick in next year’s draft.
