The recent shift in U.S. (Trump) policy has put a damper on China’s strategic plan of dominating the supply chain for “Green Deal” materials. China’s goal is to have control of critical items that the world needs for its welfare. They have control of the cobalt and lithium mines and the refining process. They are the world’s leader in supplying solar panels, wind turbine items, and lithium batteries. Trump recognizes this danger and will hopefully decouple us from our dependence on China. China is a threat to our democracy.
Our energy needs will only increase in the future with AI and EV initiatives. We must quickly increase permits for nuclear and fossil fuel power plants to supply these needs. If not, we’re headed for high energy costs, an intermittent supply, and perhaps even energy rationing. The result would lower everyone’s standard of living, especially lower-income citizens. Thank God for Trump’s energy policies. Keep charging!
