Right after he announced he was dropping out of the presidential race, Ted Cruz elbowed his wife.

The moment was captured on video and noticed by numerous people, many of whom criticized Cruz.

Cruz had just hugged his wife Heidi Cruz before turning to the man next to her and hugging him.

But as the hug developed, Cruz elbowed and punched Heidi Cruz in the face. Cruz seems to realize his mistake, reaching out and bringing Heidi Cruz into the hug soon after.
