The sister of singer Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears, responded to people who believe her sister is being held against her will.
On April 22, fans of the singer held a protest in Los Angeles to “free Britney,” according to photos posted to social media.
Billboard.com reported that protesters gathered outside the West Hollywood City Hall with signs demanding she be “freed.” They also claim her longtime manager, Larry Rudoph, ordered her to seek mental health treatment in a facility over the past several weeks.

Reports in early April said Spears checked herself into a mental health facility amid her father’s health issues. People magazine and TMZ reported that over this past weekend, she was given a one-day leave to be with her family during Easter.
Photos of the singer taken over the weekend were also uploaded to a number of news websites.
Jamie Lynn Spears Responds
However, her sister, Jamie Lynn, appeared to shoot down speculation that she’s being held against her will.
“[Ten] years ago, who was there?? I have been here long before anyone else, and I’ll be here long after,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I love my sister with everything I have. So, anyone or anything that speaks to the contrary can GTFOH with all the comments about what you don’t understand,” she continued.
She said, “Do not come for me or the ones I love anymore. You can move the ‘blank’ outta here with all that, just like this other lady who was running her mouth.”

The rumors appeared to surface after an unnamed man who claimed to be part of Spears’ legal team said that her father, Jamie Spears, wanted the pop star to seek mental help, reported The New York Post.
Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn and Britney’s mother, Lynn Spears, apparently “liked” social media posts with the “#FreeBritney” hashtag, reported the Post.

Regarding, the photos of Britney over the weekend, a witness told E! Online that she “emerged from the [Montage Beverly Hills Hotel] looking relaxed and happy with [her boyfriend] Sam guiding her out and getting the door for her.”
“Britney appeared happy, smiling as she emerged and headed to her car in a summer dress and Birkenstocks,” the source said. “Sam is clearly looking out for his long-time girlfriend, he made sure to walk ahead of her and see her to her car.”
