President Donald Trump endorsed Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, among others, ahead of the midterm election next year.
“Sarah Huckabee Sanders is doing an incredible job as Governor of Arkansas,” Trump said in a Nov. 2 post on Truth Social. “Sarah Huckabee Sanders has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election—SHE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!”
The president outlined some of his reasons for the endorsement, saying, “In my First Administration, Sarah strongly advocated for our America First Agenda as White House Press Secretary.
“Now, Sarah is a very distinguished and highly respected Governor, who is fighting tirelessly to Protect Arkansas Values, Grow the Economy, Champion our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Cut Taxes and Regulations, Advance American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our now very Secure Border, SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Support our Brave Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment.”
Sanders said in a response post on X: “Thank you, President [Donald Trump]!
“It’s an honor to have your endorsement, and Arkansas stands with you in the fight to Make America Great Again!”
Sanders, 43, won her first term in the 2022 election after spending nearly two years as the press secretary for the first Trump administration.
She is the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who served from 1996 to early 2007.
Among Trump’s other endorsements is Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who the president said in a Truth Social post is doing “an incredible job.”
The president described Jordan as “a very good friend, fighter, and WINNER,” and said the Ohio Republican is “fighting tirelessly to Protect our Country against the Marxists, Socialists, and Communists on the Radical Left.
“A true MAGA Warrior, Jim is also relentlessly focused on helping us Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our now very Secure Border, SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment.”
Still absent from Trump’s endorsements has been any backing for Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears. The Republican is in a hard-fought battle for the state governorship against former Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.), who’s leading in polls.
The Jamaican-born Earle-Sears, who is a former Marine, has run on a platform of fighting for Virginians, pushing Spanberger on issues like transgender dressing rooms, and lowering taxes.
However, Trump could still weigh in on the race, as he is slated to participate in a Virginia tele-rally at 7 p.m. on Nov. 3.
