An Idaho woman was utterly flabbergasted after she made an unlikely connection with a homeless man in the town of Port Falls.
Shoshannah Hensley said she was working as a cashier when a customer approached her, she told WPXI-TV. “As far as I knew he was just another gentleman on the streets coming in,” she said.

The man then handed her his food stamp card and she noticed something amiss.
“I saw the name and my heart dropped, and I said ‘what’s your middle name’ and he goes ‘Eugene.'” Hensley said.
“I hit my knees and said ‘You’re my biological father. I’ve been searching for you for over twenty years.'”

Brian Eugene Hensley, Sr. said he was also stunned.
“We both started shaking,” he said, according to KHQ-TV. “I don’t wanna cry,” he told the station. “When you miss a child, you feel empty for years.”

“I never thought the day would come. I never thought I would get the chance just to see what he looked like,” added Shoshannah.
Her father said he won’t let her go, adding: “I’m gonna be there in every way, whatever it takes.”
Shoshannah said she last saw him only 50 miles away from her hometown of Sandpoint when she was only a toddler.
She plans to invite him to live with her.
