More news is breaking out of CinemaCon—James Cameron has four “Avatar” sequels in the works.

The news was confirmed via CinemaCon’s Twitter page on April 14.

“It’s going to be a true epic saga that’s told in this rich and complex world,” Cameron said to theater owners in Las Vegas, according to The Guardian.

Cameron is scheduled to release the first of the four sequels in 2018, with the others released sequentially in 2020, 2022, and 2023.

“I’ve been working the last couple of years with a team of four top screenwriters to design the world of Avatar going forward: the characters, the creatures, the environment, the new cultures,” Cameron said.

“Avatar,” a 3D blockbuster, has grossed nearly $3 billion since its release in 2009. The original cast included Zoe Saldana, Michelle Rodriguez, Stephen Lang, and Matt Gerald.
