President Donald ‌Trump told a crowd gathered in Dallas, Texas, Wednesday night that ‌he will issue a $5,000 ⁠dividend to every adult citizen in the United States if Republicans secure a majority in Congress ⁠on Nov. 3. The president cited the United States’ strong economy that is “making so much money” as the reason he was able to make such a promise.

Pennsylvania’s Democratic senator made a surprise video appearance in Dallas on Wednesday night in front of a sea of Republicans at the GOP midterm convention. In a short video message, Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) condemned the rise of socialist politicians in the United States and welcomed his Republican counterpart, Sen. Dave McCormick, as the next speaker.
