London’s Heathrow Airport was forced to close after a fire at a nearby substation knocked out its power supply. Flight schedules have been disrupted worldwide as Europe’s busiest airport remains out of service. The fire led to the evacuation of around 150 people and the loss of power to thousands of homes, along with the airport.
The judge who ordered a block on the federal government’s deportation flights now says the government’s response is not good enough. Trump has strongly criticized judges who have ruled against his policies. The president said he would not defy any court orders but has called on the Supreme Court to reverse this and other injunctions.
Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk will visit the Pentagon on Friday, with the Department of Defense stating that he was invited by Secretary Pete Hegseth. The visit comes after Hegseth, with the backing of the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency, announced major cuts and savings across U.S. military projects.
