Black Boxes Recovered From Crashed American Airlines Plane; Controversial Trump Nominees Face Questions
Investigators have recovered two black boxes from the American Airlines jet involved in Wednesday’s midair collision with a military helicopter over the Potomac River. 67 people died, making it the deadliest U.S. air disaster in more than two decades. Early reports suggest the helicopter may have been flying above its designated altitude, with only one air traffic controller on duty at the time. Authorities are continuing to search for answers as families mourn the victims. NTD spoke with military attack helicopter pilot William Dunn and commercial airline pilot Joshua Schirard about what they know of the situation at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

NTD spoke with Aidan Johnston, the director of federal affairs for Gun Owners of America, about Kash Patel’s nomination hearing on Thursday.

Some have warned that the tariffs will raise costs for Americans, but Trump’s nominee to lead the Commerce Department brushed off the suggestion. He says that only some products will see price hikes and that the tariffs will not cause blanket inflation.
