First Illegal Immigrants Officially Arrive at Guantánamo Bay; Trump Meets With Governors of Texas, California

The Pentagon has announced that the first illegal immigrants have officially arrived at Guantánamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. The statement reads that 10 high-threat individuals are being housed in vacant detention facilities there. NTD spoke with Rick de la Torre, a former senior operations officer with the CIA, to discuss the situation.

President Donald Trump met with California Gov. Gavin Newson on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing recovery from the wildfires in Los Angeles. Trump also met with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to talk about border security. Abbott suggested more jails and extending the border wall, as well as two military bases to house more soldiers.

Trump signed the “No Men in Women’s Sports” executive order on Wednesday, banning men from competing in women’s sports. Schools that fail to comply will face federal investigations and could lose federal funding.
