Deportation Flights to Venezuela Resume After Deal Reached; Kristi Noem to Visit El Salvador Prison | NTD Good Morning Full Broadcast (March 24)
A flight carrying deported Venezuelan nationals from the United States landed in Venezuela early Monday morning after the two governments reached an agreement to resume repatriation flights. According to the U.S. Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, it made a stop in Honduras on the way to change planes. Around 200 deportees were on the plane. NTD News contributor and host of “Can We Please Talk” podcast Mike Leon and graduate fellow at the Manhattan Institute and Venezuelan freedom activist Daniel Di Martino join NTD’s panel discussion.
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem will visit Central America this week, including El Salvador’s Terrorism Confinement Center, where hundreds of deported criminals are held. The visit aims to send a strong message to those entering the United States illegally. Meanwhile, a legal battle continues over deportation flights, with Trump administration officials confirming they will follow court orders.
A nationwide storm brought tornadoes and hail to several states over the weekend. Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky were all under a tornado watch until late Sunday night. Eyewitness footage from Mississippi shows a tornado dissipating after briefly touching down. On the East Coast, the main danger came from wildfires. North Carolina ordered a mandatory evacuation on Saturday in response to three fires in parts of Polk County.
