8 Injured After Assault on Pro-Israel Rally; Trump Details 2026 Budget Cuts, Senators Skeptical | NTD Good Morning (June 2)

Boulder, Colorado, police say eight people were injured in a violent attack at a rally for Israeli hostages on Sunday. Authorities say the suspect used a makeshift flamethrower and Molotov cocktails, yelling “Free Palestine” during the assault. Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, has been arrested and is under investigation for terrorism and hate crimes. The attack happened just hours before the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, drawing condemnation from leaders nationwide.

More details are out on the president’s “skinny budget request.” He wants more than $160 billion in cuts to nondefense spending and an increase in defense spending. The administration’s cuts target a list of agencies, including the departments of Agriculture, Education, Housing and Urban Development, and others. The more detailed request comes as some GOP senators are skeptical of the big budget bill now working its way through the Senate.
