Flash floods swept through the New Mexico mountain village of Ruidoso on Tuesday, prompting more than 80 rescues. At least one house washed away in the floods, and three people are reported to have died. Burn scars from past wildfires worsened the flooding, while the levels of the local river may have hit a record high. Meanwhile, in Kerr County, Texas, the area hit hardest by the Independence Day weekend flooding, 161 people are still missing, with more than 110 people confirmed dead.

President Donald Trump has said he’ll announce trade updates for at least seven countries on Wednesday. Russia launched its largest drone attack on Ukraine since the beginning of the war on Tuesday night, according to Ukrainian officials. The attack was carried out just hours after Trump pledged increased military support for Ukraine. Ukrainian Air Force officials said the latest attack involved 741 drones, an increase of nearly 200 drones over the previous record, which was set last week. The attack was mostly repelled, Ukrainian officials said.
